THE ALIEN LEGACY

Casey Cadwallader, ultra talentuous American designer behind the name MUGLER since 2017, wanted to fall within the Alien legacy of dresses. It was important to him to create a long, magnificent golden dress that could immediately say “Alien Goddess” to the fans.

THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE DRESS

Casey says it best himself:

“The Alien Goddess is connected to her divine femininity and the energy around her, she knows her power and the power of the extraordinary. In her natural habitat of the desert, she reveals a magnificent nature thanks to a precious golden living flower. A flower that is one of a kind and the secret to the Goddess’ magnificence. A flower that can transform a desert into a field blooming with golden life.

AN EXTRAORDINARY OUTFIT

As you may know, the dress was created in our parisian Atelier. There are so many things extraordinary about this dress. First, it has been made out of a very special silky chiffon, “draped carefully to create this dramatic spiraling motion synergizing with the body.” It required hours and hours of meticulous work to achieve this perfect movement. Also, Casey tells us that: “ The color of the dress is very special too”, because it echoes both the desert and the Alien Goddess. The dress needed to be the perfect ingredient between the place and the Alien Goddess, which makes it so precious, right?

MADE FOR WILLOW

Casey is adamant about it: “The dress was about augmenting Willow’s extraordinary beauty. ” The creation is entirely based on the shapes of her body and on the tone of her skin to make the gold blend in. It’s a bespoke gown to channel Willow’s inner goddess. And it works.
