THE BOURBON VANILLA PREMIUM INFUSION PROCESS
Crafted for Mugler, the Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla offers exquisite aromatic depth. The botanical variety of Vanilla planifolia produces a creamy, amber, and woody parfum. Each flower is pollinated by hand, and once mature, the pods are laid out to dry for over six months to develop their special aroma. The infusion is obtained through an extraction of the pods using supercritical fluids (CO2). This process makes it possible to obtain an extract that is faithful to the smell of pure vanilla.
The extract is diluted in alcohol hence the name “infusion”. The vanilla production process is complex and takes 18 months from pollination to sale. This represents an important step for the development of their exceptional aromatic richness to obtain the best vanilla scent. This consciously-sourced premium extract is obtained through anextraction technology that seizes the complete organoleptic profile. Unveiling a delicious vanilla top note with balsamic tonalities, it delights your senses with deep mysterious warm vibrations which ensure a super long-lasting fragrance.
BOURBON VANILLA IS A SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENTGuided by a fascination for the extraordinary strength of nature and a desire to reconnect with a wilder world – whilst respecting its resources – Mugler has been committed to a more purposeful, conscious vision of luxury since 1992 thanks to a sustainable approach by refillable perfumes. Bourbon Vanilla Premium infusion palette is sustainably sourced from its origin in Madagascar and crafted for Mugler. Having a fragrance ingredient be a part of a sustainable supply chain means that its origin is known, and its cultivation has been evaluated by a third party. This ensures decent working conditions and a fair price to farmers while preserving the ecosystem. This quest for sustainability is amplified by other commitments, like the extreme attention dedicated to ingredient processes.
The Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla is sourced according to transparent and traceable supply chains, guaranteeing fair wages for local communities and improved living conditions, in return for high-quality ingredients. The Vanilla is extracted with CO2 both heat and pressure-treated to enhance its purity and ensure the most exquisite infusion. The technique, which is respectful of the environment and the vanilla pods themselves, is a powerful environmental step.
