THE EVOLUTION OF MUGLER
The launch of MUGLER’s ALIEN GODDESS fragrance is indeed a significant and historic one. It is one of the company’s first launches since it was acquired by L’Oréal on April 1, 2020. Mugler’s global brand president of fashion and fragrance, Sandrine Groslier explains, “It’s the right time to come out with a new scent”. Mugler recognizes how popular it is and how admired its fragrances, scents, and products are among the public, and the brand intends to seize the moment.
Sandrine Groslier, also states, “The brand has never been so cool as now,”. The ALIEN GODDESS floral woody amber fragrance embodies the concepts of innovation, and sustainability that Mugler is known for. Furthermore, this perfume spray targets the group of people referred to as generation Z. The interesting aspect is that many people of the generation Z community, who tend to be twenty-five years old or younger are not necessarily familiar with the Mugler brand. For this reason, Willow Smith, the young talented woman who is the embodiment of modern femininity, was selected to be the muse and facilitate the introduction of the Mugler brand to the generation Z community.

THE CREATION OF THE ALIEN GODDESS FRAGRANCE
MUGLER’s ALIEN GODDESS fragrance was created by seasoned perfumers Marie Salamagne and Nathalie Lorson. Salamagne explains that the initial idea for the fragrance came from the desire to form a new insightful expression of modern femininity. This concept entails promoting the idea that all people should lead free and empowered lives. Salamagne and Lorson worked in conjunction with this notion in mind to formulate this wonderful as well as majestic floral perfume scent. Master perfumer Lorson explains, I really wanted to express something new through florals, but I didn't want it to be too expected”.
Marie Salamagne and Nathalie Lorson were extremely innovative and methodical in their creation process. They utilized some precious and delicate natural origin ingredients to produce the unique ALIEN GODDESS scent which can be described as intense and powerful yet not overwhelming. Although the scent is intended to reflect the enchanting nature of the universe, it is indeed floral and earthy. Veteran perfumer Salamagne details how she utilized coconut water accord and then applied the notes of the jasmine grandiflorum, in addition to Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Premium infusion, to create the commanding yet sweet scent.
