The South African Sports Confederation announced the official qualification of Oscar Pistorius in the Summer Olympic Games scheduled in London from July 18 to August 15, 2012. He will compete in the individual men's 400-meter and 4x400-meter relay, as part of the South-African Olympic team.
He will become the first paralympic athlete to run alongside able-bodied athletes in the most prestigious international competition. A prowess that comforts Oscar in his long-standing struggle to run alongside able-bodied athletes and is a resounding testimony of the young South African's uncommon perseverance and extraordinary will power.
Oscar Pistorius will also take part in the Paralympic Games in London from August 20 to September 12, 2012.
